Altar Guild

This is a dedicated group of women who are responsible for ensuring that all the vessels and vestments for worship are kept in good order and are put into position when needed for a worship service. They are also responsible for all “cleaning and tidying up” of these items after a worship service.

The Choir at St. George’s usually helps the Altar Guild members with changing the hangings in the church, as required by liturgical Season or for a particular liturgical event, and changing the banners that adorn our church interior.
